Kigali – On 3rd January 2018, the management and staff of the Local Administrative Entities Development Agency (LODA) visited the Campaign against Genocide Museum located at Rwanda Parliament headquarters, Kimihurura. While touring the museum, they were briefed on the liberation war hardships and how former RPA soldiers used little means they had and sacrificed their lives to save lives of Tutsi who were hunted by culprits from 6th April to January 22nd 1994.
In his address to LODA staff after the visit, the Minister of Local Government, Hon. Francis KABONEKA thanked LODA for its initiative to make a reflection on Rwanda’s sombre history, from which we get strength to transform Rwanda for the better. He recalled the devotion of Rwandans who fought for the just cause: peaceful Rwanda for all Rwandans. He reiterated the onward challenging task to LODA, the poverty eradication struggle, which requires devotion and patriotism as well for a better Rwanda and bright future for future generations.
The Campaign against Genocide Museum was officially inaugurated by the President of the Republic of Rwanda, H.E. Paul KAGAME on 13th December 2017.
